Dentist

The continued increase in the number of implants placed globally has resulted in an increase in cases of peri-implant disease. Diagnosis of peri-implant disease at a very early stage is imperative to preventing disease progress and loss of attachment. Understanding the etiological factors inherent in peri-implant diseases will enable the clinician to select the appropriate treatment regimens necessary to successfully prevent progression of the disease. The long-term health of peri-implant soft and hard tissues is essential to successful implant therapy.

This course is directed to dentists and hygienists and focuses on the critical aspects of implant maintenance, current technology and procedures and future implant maintenance protocols. The knowledge gained will be a strong base for achieving long-term success in managing implants.
