This advanced full-day program—designed for both general dentists and orthodontists—delivers a clinically focused and hands-on ClearCorrect training offered at JDIQ. Led by Dr. Bruce McFarlane, participants will learn how to predictably treat complex malocclusions using no-attachment ClearCorrect biomechanics, the Carrière Motion Appliance, and deep ClearPilot treatment planning.
The morning is dedicated to building strong biomechanical foundations and then diving into a laptop-based ClearPilot software workshop, where doctors follow along in real time, complete guided exercises, and learn how to evaluate, modify, and optimize treatment setups to increase predictability. Three advanced cases—crowding, deep bite, and a Carrière-pretreated Class II—are reviewed live within ClearPilot so participants can see how a master clinician sequences movements, communicates with technicians, and sets up cases for success.
The afternoon focuses on complex Class II and Class III, using Carrière + ClearCorrect aligners. Through multiple case walkthroughs and detailed ClearPilot demonstrations, participants learn how to combine these systems to shorten treatment, improve anchorage, and expand predictable aligner outcomes. At the end of the session, there will be live hands-on and typondonts to learn how to confidently bond Carriere Motion.
Attendees leave with practical protocols, ClearPilot checklists, staging strategies, communication templates, and clinically actionable tools they can apply the very next day in their practice.

1. Understand the biomechanics of no-attachment ClearCorrect treatment and how to use force systems, anchorage, and sequencing to increase predictability.
2. Confidently navigate and utilize ClearPilot, including reviewing setups, identifying red flags, and making essential modifications to improve case outcomes.
3. Apply ClearPilot staging strategies—torque, rotations, vertical control, arch development, and sequencing—to treat complex cases more predictably.
4. Communicate effectively with ClearCorrect technicians using structured guidelines and checklists to achieve better initial setups and refinements.
5. Integrate the Carrière Motion Appliance with ClearCorrect for Class II and Class III correction, understanding timing, anchorage, and how to adapt ClearPilot setups after distalization.
6. Plan and manage and learn practical hands-on tips to treat advanced malocclusions—Class II, Class III, using ClearCorrect + Carrière protocols and practical digital workflows.

Dr. R. Bruce McFarlane is a distinguished orthodontist and educator with over three decades of clinical and academic experience. He graduated as a dentist from the University of Manitoba in 1984 and later earned his orthodontic specialization from the University of Western Ontario in 1992. Dr. McFarlane is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Honorary Dental Society and a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity. His professional memberships include the RCDS(O), Ontario Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists (Pacific Coast Division), and Mensa Canada.
Dr. McFarlane has served as an Assistant Professor of Graduate Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba and is a well-regarded speaker and mentor for numerous organizations and companies, including Cerum Ortho Organizers/Aurum Labs, ClearCorrect Orthodontics, and Catapult Education. A pioneer in clear aligner therapy, he has been a provider and lecturer in the field since 1997 and has been a contributor to the Online Aligner Fellowship. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters and currently practices as a partner at the San Diego Dental Health Center in La Jolla, California along with his two Ontario Offices.
