Cloud-based platforms are reshaping how restorative dentistry is designed, manufactured, and delivered. This lecture explores how DS Core enables clinicians to move beyond a purely chairside workflow and adopt a flexible, cloud-based model for digital restoration design and manufacturing.
Participants will learn how to leverage DS Core to separate scanning, design, and fabrication—allowing restorations to be designed anywhere and manufactured anywhere without sacrificing quality, predictability, or control.
Through real-world workflows, the course will demonstrate how cloud connectivity improves collaboration, expands manufacturing options, and creates scalability for practices at different stages of digital adoption.

Dr. Dan Butterman is a 1994 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He also is a graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a member of PEERS Implant Faculty Group. Dr. Butterman is an advanced CEREC trainer, and Chief Dental Officer for Spear Education and CDOCS. He lectures Nationally and Internationally on all aspects of digital dentistry, and is a hardware, software, and materials Beta tester. Dr. Butterman maintains a general practice in Centennial, Colorado with an emphasis on implant and digital dentistry.
