During this course participants will do a class ii and a class iv restoration on a typodont. There will be a didactic and hands on component.
In the didactic portion of the course there will be a scientific review of the restorative procedures in daily practice including basic rubber dam isolation, cavity preparation, substrate decontamination, adhesion, and composites.
The hands-on component consists of restoring with direct composite a class ii and class iv restorations.
Course objectives:

- Apply anterior composite layering.
- Feel comfortable with composite shade matching.
- Deliver highly aesthetic composite restorations consistently.
- Create predictable restorative protocols.

Dr. Viquez is a prosthodontist working in private practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He graduated from dental school in Costa Rica and did his prosthodontic residency program in Louisiana State University, where he also completed a one-year surgical dental implant fellowship. Dr Viquez is a member of multiple local study clubs and dedicates one morning a week as instructor at the dental college in Manitoba.
