This course is intended for those who have shied away from performing surgical procedures due to previous difficulties or fears, but also for those who enjoy surgery but find that they need to strengthen certain areas. This intensive, focused course will clear up any misconceptions.
With proper diagnosis, treatment planning and the execution of proper basic skills, participants will be able to consistently obtain better results that will satisfy patients and make their practice more complete.
Dento-alveolar surgery and exodontia can be one of the more stressful procedures performed by a General Practitioner. Surgical procedures such as extractions, periodontal surgery and implant placement, are an integral part of every dental practice and often require suturing skills. Some clinicians, however, may experience challenges such as premature suture loosening, flap opening and tearing, bent needles, and inability to stabilize flaps. Improper suturing can lead to complications and even treatment failures. Another goal of this course is to train dentists in predictable suturing.
