TECHNICAL EXHIBITION SCHEDULE – The showroom will be open Monday, May 29, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, May 30, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..

FREE BREAKFAST – On Monday, May 29 and Tuesday, May 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., a complimentary continental breakfast will be offered to all delegates in the Exhibit Hall Food Court.

COMPLIMENTARY BEER AND WINE — On Monday, May 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., beer and wine will be served to all delegates in the restaurant area of the Exhibit Hall.

FOOD SERVICES – On Monday, May 29 and Tuesday, May 30, there will be snack service (coffee, croissants, etc.) on the 5th level from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., as well as bar service and light snacks in the exhibit hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE AND RCR AND DEA TRAINING

JDIQ electronically records attendance for all attendees, except for students. Please note that approximately 3 weeks after the conference, a certificate of attendance will be automatically sent to all attendees who provided a valid email address during registration.

 

Regarding CPR and AED Training, it is important to note that JDIQ will not provide attendance certificate. For the purposes of the obligations related to the CE regulation, keep the certification card issued by one of the organizations recognized by the ODQ.

WORKSHOP DISCLAIMER
For those attending workshops, please be aware of the potential risks associated with using new techniques and procedures without having fully attained a competency level to practise them.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

It is the responsibility of each participant to keep their Continuing Education (CE) record up to date.
It is also the responsibility of all participants to submit their name tags to the validation officer prior to the start of the conference so that attendance can be recorded.

 

ORDRE DES DENTISTES DU QUÉBEC (ODQ) Requirements for members of the ODQ to comply with the regulation of Continuing Education are calculated in CE units. For example, for all members of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec: • 1 hour of CE theory courses = 1 unit • 1 heure de cours pratique = 2 unités de FC. Conformément au règlement sur la formation continue qui sera en vigueur, un cours théorique de 2,5 heures donnera 2,5 unités de FC et un cours pratique de 3 heures procurera 6 unités de FC. Des unités de FC sont allouées à tous les congressistes qui visitent la salle d’exposition, à raison de 1 unité par jour pour un maximum de 2 unités.

ORDRE DES DENTISTES DU QUÉBEC (ODQ)

Requirements for members of the ODQ to comply with the regulation of Continuing Education are calculated in CE units. For example, for all members of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec:  

  • 1 hour of CE theory courses = 1 unit
  • 1 hour of CE hands-on courses = 2 units

ADA CERP ET ACADEMY OF GENERAL DENTISTRY (AGD) The ODQ is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. Our CERP provider code number is 05395037. The AGD identification number for the JDIQ is 214623.   ROYAL COLLEGE OF DENTAL SURGEONS OF ONTARIO (RCDSO) Three CE points will be earned for a half-day session and 6 CE points for a full-day session. One bonus point may be earned with a workshop. Full-day session must be attended in its entirety (AM and PM)—partial points will not be allocated for attending only a portion of a full-day continuous session. To receive the 6 CE points for a continuous session, attendees must scan in the AM and again in the PM. CE points earned may be attributed to one of the following Quality Assurance (QA) Categories as per the RCDSO QA program: Category 1: core courses (including an independent assessment) Category 2: clinical courses Category 3: practice management, personal development and general attendance in the Exhibit Hall In order to verify attendance and ensure that attendance records are accurate, dentists must Scan IN to all sessions they attend. For Category 1 (Core) courses, all ODA members need to Scan IN and Scan OUT Category 1 (Core) courses:

  • Scan IN
  • Complete the independent assessment (quiz), print name and ODA membership number
  • Hand in the assessment to the session monitor and then Scan OUT of the session

Category 2 and 3 courses:

  • Scan IN

Please note that you cannot earn credit for the Exhibit Hall and courses during the same half-day.

ADA CERP

The Ordre des dentistes du Québec is an ADA CERP recognized provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not endorse or support individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by dental boards. Concerns or complaints about a continuing education provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ADA.org/CERP. The Ordre des dentistes du Québec designates this activity for a maximum of 40 continuing education credits.

In accordance with the regulation for Continuing Education that will be in effect, a theoretical course of 2.5 hours will earn 2.5 CE units and a hands-on course of 3 hours will earn 6 CE units. CE units will be allocated to all delegates visiting the Exhibit Hall, one unit per day for a maximum of 2 units.

ORDRE DES HYGIÉNISTES DENTAIRES DU QUÉBEC Dental hygienists must keep a record of their training hours in their membership files and keep a copy as proof in case it is required by professional inspectors, for example. Each year, as stipulated in the official documentation of the OHDQ, as well as on its website:

  • 2.5 hours is recognized for the Monday and Tuesday lectures;
  • A maximum of 5 hours is recognized for the CPR training;
  • Only one hour can be added for visiting the Exhibit Hall throughout the convention.

DENTISTRY (AGD) The ODQ is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. Our CERP provider code number is 05395037.

PRIVACY POLICY

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ) is committed to protecting the personal information of delegates (name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address). They use this information, including whether or not a person attends one of the activities organized under their auspices, only for the purposes of organizing and following up on the event and in accordance with the express consent obtained from delegates when they register.

IMPLICIT WAIVER OF IMAGE RIGHTS

Without prior authorization, no photos or videos for professional use are permitted within the framework of the JDIQ activities. Only suppliers whose services have been expressly retained by JDIQ are authorized to take photos and record the content of the activities.

These photos and recordings are the exclusive property of the JDIQ and may, for future promotional purposes, be posted on the Ordre des dentistes du Québec’s website and in social media, or published in press releases, brochures or in any other medium.

Thus, by attending the JDIQ activities, the participant implicitly waives his or her right to image and tacitly consents to his or her image and voice being broadcast or published in the media and for the purposes mentioned above.

REFUND POLICY

Until March 31, 2023: 90% of fees will be refunded
From April 1 to 21, 2023: 80% of fees will be refunded
After April 21, 2023: No refund
Without prejudice – All requests, with supporting documentation, must be sent in writing to [email protected] within ten days of the conference.

CHILD ATTENDANCE POLICY

Babies in the care of a parent are permitted in the conference rooms and exhibit hall. Children 12 years of age and older are permitted in the exhibit hall and must be registered for the exhibit only.

Disruptive behavior will result in revocation of this privilege.

Strollers are strictly prohibited in the conference rooms and exhibit hall. The Palais des congrès does not have childcare facilities. Check with your hotel concierge for this service.

BREASTFEEDING ROOM

A breastfeeding room will be available for mothers who need it. The room will be located on level 6. However, for security and control reasons, you will have to go to Ordre des dentistes du Québec the information desk located in Viger hall to obtain access to the room.
