Endo Lecture for GPs: Better, Faster, Safer Root Canals (refresh 2024)
Learn how you can perform root canals better, faster, and safer. Learn of recent products and procedural innovations that have made successful endodontic outcomes more predictable.
Many clinical tips and tricks will be demonstrated and tailored to novice and experienced GPs. See how root canals could be done in a single visit. Learn how to locate and instrument calcified and curved canals and obturate predictably. Post-op pain, flare-ups and infection management via analgesics and antibiotics will also be reviewed.
Objectives:
- FASTER: Learn how to more efficiently: locate canals (including MB2), instrument and obturate with fewer steps.
- BETTER: Learn how to better: access teeth, locate and instrument calcified canals, follow curved canal, anesthetize (hot) teeth, improve intra-canal medications.
- SAFER: Learn how to separate less files, prevent perforations, avoid canal ledging / blocking, prevent obturation extrusion, reduce post-op pain.
- Learn how to perform single visit root canals.
- Learn the What and When of analgesics and antibiotics in endodontics and how to reduce post-op flare-ups.
- Learn how to diagnose endo versus non-endo related symptoms and avoid wrong treatments.
Endo Workshop for GPs: Mastering Instrumentation, Irrigation and Obturation
This workshop is tailored for novice and experienced general dentists.
Under close supervision by Manor and on acrylic and extracted teeth, participants will learn, how to locate and negotiate canals (including curved & calcified), instrument and obturate more efficiently and safely. There will also be exercises on safe and effective intra-canal irrigation. Practical tips and tricks will be demonstrated.
Objectives:
- Learn to locate and instrument calcified and curved canals with small hand and new generation NiTi files.
- Learn how to predictably obturate root canal systems (not just canals).
- Learn how to perform intra-canal irrigation, activation, and debridement safely and effectively.
- Learn of protocols needed for a single visit endo, intra-canal irrigation and simplified warm obturation.
- Learn clinical tips on how to instrument posterior teeth and how to manage patients with limited mouth openings.
NOTE: Participants will need to bring at least three previously accessed teeth stored in bleach.
