Go Ahead… Bite into that Apple! Lecture
The implant overdenture has become the standard of care for the edentulous mandible.
Not only does it enhance retention, improving quality of life for patients, it allows for preservation of the alveolar bone. This course is ideal for those who wish to gain the confidence to predictably incorporate this procedure in a general practice.
This scientifically based instruction will focus on the three most important things you must consider when starting any case (maxilla or mandible).
Learning Objectives:
- Diagnose, treatment plan and sequence implant overdentures;
- Understand space analysis, templates and abutment and attachment considerations;
- Review the prosthesis driven restoration and implant placement concerns;
- Understand abutment & attachment considerations;
- Apply knowledge to a variety of clinical case presentations and troubleshoot complex cases.
The “Nuts & Bolts” of Implant Overdentures: A Hands-on Workshop
Meeting the demands imposed by many patients, the implant overdenture has become the standard of care for the edentulous mandible.
Reinforcing the concepts taught in the AM (prerequisite) lecture, this workshop is ideal for those who wish to gain the skills to successfully incorporate the restoration of the implant overdenture in their practice.
Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to work with a variety of attachment systems, place overdenture abutments, retrofit a denture & select & activate retention.
Course Objectives:
- Perform a space analysis and measure trans-gingival width;
- Select, place and torque implant overdenture abutments;
- Retro fit, activate & replace retention in a processed denture.
